SOUTHFIELD, Michigan (WXYZ) – Learning is key. So, what would you do if a snowstorm could hit in the afternoon?
Many schools and colleges declared a holiday on Friday.
“Fortunately, I work from home, so it doesn’t really bother me. I love it when the kids are home,” said Amy Marchionda, a mom in the Rochester Community School District.
Parents told 7 Action News that they had missed work in many cases to pick up their children, but they are grateful that safety is the priority.
Some say they are going to enjoy one of the last few winter storms this season.
