UM plans to honor MSU community during Saturday’s basketball game

(WXYZ) – When the University of Michigan basketball team hosts Michigan State at Crisler Center this Saturday, they plan to honor the victims and the MSU community in the aftermath of Monday’s tragedy.

Michigan athletics says the UM team will wear specially designed warm-up shirts, and there will be 2,000 special T-shirts for student ticket holders.

Michigan athletics plans to hold a moment of silence, and Crisler Center will light up in green and white.

The UM Pep Band will also perform MSU’s alma mater.

The Mecca Rage student section will also carry a Spartan Strong flag.

The game is scheduled for Saturday night at 8 p.m.
