With seven Super Bowl rings and the all-time NFL records for passing yards and passing touchdowns, Tom Brady is easily the most decorated quarterback of all time. He’s won more games than anyone else — both regular and post-season — and his list of accomplishments makes his resume look like a CVS receipt.
Still, Trent Dilfer isn’t impressed.
in a new “Baltimore’s Bullies” 30-for-30 on ESPN The 2000 Ravens are celebrated for their Super Bowl victory. While applauding his old teammates in the trailer, Dilfer, the former Baltimore quarterback, took aim at Brady and Aaron Rodgers out of nowhere.
Dilfar said, ‘Today’s game does not affect me. “It’s so easy when you don’t hit as a quarterback, and when you can’t re-route receivers, and when you can’t hit guys up the middle. I love Tom Brady, I Love Aaron Rodgers, I love these guys. It’s not impressive. What they did is impressive (pointing to Ravens teammates).
Dilfer’s criticism doesn’t stand up on some levels, but seems the most silly since Brady’s first Super Bowl win came in the 2001 season—literally the year after the Ravens won that championship. In those 12 months, the game really hadn’t changed much, if at all.
