Southwest to testify before US Senate after mass cancellations

Southwest Airlines will testify before a US Senate panel this month following an outcry from passengers and officials following mass flight cancellations during the holiday season.

The US Senate Commerce Committee has asked Southwest’s chief operating officer Andrew Waterson to testify. this month On Capitol Hill over the devastating mass cancellations, which stranded holiday travelers across the country, sparked a response from the US Department of Transportation.

Watson will testify before a Senate committee on Thursday, February 9.

Budget carriers canceled thousands of flights, leaving travelers scrambling for vacation plans and scrambling for lost luggage.
