Alabama on Thursday became the latest school to launch a subscription-based name, image and likeness entity to which fans can contribute money that is paid to players.
Nick Saban was part of the “This Alabama” launch ad campaign, which was announced by the university in a press release.
“Alabama fans, we need your back,” Saban said in a promotional video posted on the new “Yeah Alabama” Twitter account.
In a statement, Saban said: “I have always believed that our players should have the chance to benefit from their name, image and likeness. is an exciting new resource to help us create value for ourselves. The Alabama brand is one of the most powerful in sports, and our partnership with Alabama provides exposure for our athletes that is unmatched in college athletics.
