HONOLULU (KHON2) – A recent filing in federal court asks that the trial of accused crime boss Michael Miske and his five co-defendants be moved out of Hawaii.
Defense attorneys for Michael and his co-defendants filed a motion for a ‘change of venue’.

Attorneys have enlisted the help of an expert who identifies jury bias and who helped identify an unblemished jury in the Kealoha trial.
The expert said that they conducted a survey that showed that half of the potential jury pool had heard of the case and that of those identified, about 90% already believed Miske guilty.

Las Vegas was another location the expert identified because they found that pool of potential jurors had almost no prior knowledge of the case.
At this point, the request is pending before a federal judge.
