Maui Police Searching for Alleged Stolen Armored Humvee

HONOLULU (KHON2) – The Maui Police Department is seeking help locating an alleged stolen vehicle.

According to the MPD, the incident occurred at the National Guard Armory located on the Maui Veterans Highway in Kihei.

Police officials said that between 6 p.m. on Monday, February 27, and 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, an unknown person or persons entered the property and allegedly stole an armored Humvee.

The M1165A1 type Humvee is described as camouflage in color and E-09 is painted on the front bumper.

“An internal investigation into the incident is ongoing and we are cooperating fully with the Maui Police Department.”
