Iwa Beach residents asked to conserve water

HONOLULU (KHON2) – The City and County of Honolulu Department of Environmental Services (ENV) is asking Ewa Beach residents to conserve water.

There is an urgent need for water conservation due to force main break at Ewa Beach Wastewater Pump Station on Makule Road yesterday.

According to ENV, crews are on site and working on repairs which are expected to be completed this Sunday.

ENV trucks are also collecting wastewater at manholes and pump stations for redistribution downstream.

Residents are told to use their water only for essential purposes, at the very least.
