Firefighters are tackling a massive blaze near Birmingham Airport.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service responded to a building on Messer-Airport Highway at Aviation Avenue shortly after 10:15 p.m. Sunday.
Fire Captain Orlando Reynolds said firefighters arrived to see massive flames pouring through the roof. He said he did not yet know the name of the business or the building, and said it was not immediately clear whether anyone was inside at the time of the fire.
Traffic is blocked around the airport.
Additional firetrucks were brought in for additional manpower.
