National Signing Day may have been relatively quiet for Auburn’s 2023 class — with four-star running back Jeremiah Cobb expected to be the only February signee — but Hugh Freeze and his staff made progress with the Tigers’ future classes on Wednesday .
Hours after Auburn took its first commitment of the Class of 2025 in Opelika defensive end Malik Autry, the Tigers got their second commitment of the day and the second of the Class of 2024 in four-star in-state cornerback Jaden Lewis. The 6-foot-, 170-pounder Aniston picked Auburn over a top-six that also included Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arkansas, South Carolina and Florida State.

Hugh Freeze Wants To Rebuild Auburn’s Offensive Line
Lewis joins fellow blue-chip cornerback A’mon Lane as commitments to Auburn in the Class of 2024, which last month saw quarterback Adrian Posey back out of his commitment after a coaching change on the field. Auburn’s 2024 class is now ranked 28th nationally, a full year from the end of the cycle, as the Tigers have already secured commitments from two of the state’s top-20 players.
Lewis is rated as the No. 17 overall prospect in Alabama this cycle, and is a four-star recruit in the 247Sports overall rankings, in which he is the nation’s No. 24 cornerback recruit and No. 264 overall player.
As a junior at Anniston, Lewis earned Class 4A first-team all-state honors.
