Vehicle lost control on wet surface in fatal accident

HONOLULU (KHON2) – The Honolulu Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a single vehicle in the Kaneohe area.

Police said the incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. when a 36-year-old male was traveling east on the H-3 Freeway.

The driver lost control while on a wet road in the area of ​​the Kamehameha Highway off-ramp. He then skidded off an embankment at the side of the road, resulting in a vehicle rollover.

First people took the young man to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he was later declared brought dead.

Police said the man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
