U of M Health System says cyberattack affecting public websites

(WXYZ) – The University of Michigan Health System says a cyberattack on a vendor is affecting their public websites.

The hospital system has released the following statement about the attack. They also emphasize that none of the affected systems contain patient information.

University of Michigan Health is experiencing intermittent problems with its public websites as a result of a cyberattack on a third-party vendor used to host some of its sites. We are working with third parties to mitigate this and hope to have our sites back working as soon as possible.

Patients can still access the Patient Portal through myuofmhealth.org.

The sites that have been attacked are simply public websites hosted by third-party vendors. None of the sites affected contain patient information, and all patient information is secure.
