SOUTHWICK – The city’s Community Conservation Committee voted unanimously Wednesday to approve $269,000 in conservation funds to install a spray park at Whaley Park.
Site surveyor. Robert Levesque of Levesque Associates put the proposal before the CPC, where he noted how the planned spray park would use significantly less water than similar public facilities in neighboring Westfield.
“These facilities can use a lot of water if they are not managed properly,” Levesque said. “It would use 63 gallons of water per minute if everything was on, all the time.”
