Plymouth, Mich. (WXYZ) – New information has emerged in the shooting death of a mother of two from Plymouth. Police are looking for 59-year-old Michael Anthony Alinsky, who they are calling a suspect.

Family and neighbors say that both were having a love affair in the recent past.
The victim, Andrea Grant, 50, was found in a car outside a gym in Pittsfield Township, riddled with bullets.
Karen Sherwood was Andrea Grant’s neighbor. He described the community of Plymouth.
“We’re very close and we look out for each other. We take care of each other,” Sherwood said. “It doesn’t happen in Plymouth.”
She reacted to the news of the shooting.
โNot that I would have wanted it to be anyone but Andrea who was my neighbor and friend. So I am devastated,โ Sherwood said.
She told what kind of person Grant was.
โShe was always jovial and happy and wanted to know what was going on in your life. And chatting and walking your dogs and very proud of your girls,โ Sherwood said.
Several neighbors said that Grant was romantically involved with Michael Anthony Alinsky, and the two had lived together for some time.
โHe would drive a work van. I believe it was like a basement water restoration company. And until a few months ago, he was often at home,โ Sherwood explained.
Another neighbor recalled that the company Alinsky worked for Parma Dry. 7 Action News reached out to the company for more details but did not receive a response till the time of publication.
Neighbors said Alinsky’s van regularly parked next to Grant’s home until a few months ago, when police and EMTs showed up.
“Yeah, I think it must have been about the same time you didn’t see his mate here,” said Sherwood.
Sherwood said that until Alinsky was found, everyone would be on high-alert.
โNot just me but everyone in the neighborhood will be a little more careful. We’ll make sure we lock our garages and lock our doors,” she said.
Anyone with information on where Michael Alinsky may be is asked to call Pittsfield Township Police.
