WASHINGTON (AP) – Senior Democrats are criticizing how President Joe Biden handled classified material after leaving office as vice president.
And they are frustrated that the White House is not more forthcoming with the public.
The latest development came Saturday, when the president’s attorney said that during a search of Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, on Friday, the FBI found additional documents with classified markings and took possession of some of his handwritten notes.
Dick Durbin, the second-ranking Democrat, says Biden “should be ashamed of the situation.”
And fellow Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin Sen. Joe Manchin says Biden should have “a lot of remorse…. All you can say is, ‘Listen, this is irresponsible. ‘”
