Alliance continues to partner with Westfield students for business trips, internships

WESTFIELD – Educators and businesses came together virtually on Wednesday for the Westfield Education to Business Alliance meeting. The alliance, also known as WE2BA, focuses on creative ways schools and businesses can interact for the benefit of both, with a number of programs underway and planned, and collaboration between businesses and organizations. There are many opportunities to get involved.

Westfield Public Schools math supervisor Kate Perez, English supervisor Mary Keane and K-4 STEM coach Lindsey Ayers shared some mutually beneficial conversations in recent months through the Adopt a Classroom programs.

Keen said Peerless Precision CEO Kristen Carlson met with Westfield math interventionist Matt Wroth in December to assemble a small group of young women interested in STEM careers.
