2.5 million pounds of canned meat from Conagra Brands recalled

(WXYZ) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Tuesday that approximately 2.6 million pounds of ConAgra brand canned meat and poultry products are being recalled.

About 2,581,816 pounds have been recalled from Iowa-based ConAgra Brands, according to the agency’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. packaging defects,

Vienna sausages and other products may be contaminated without showing any obvious signs of it.

FSIS says Conagra Brands notified them that there were defective and leaking cans in a warehouse. Investigation revealed that the cans may have been damaged, although this may not have been obvious to consumers.

The products were manufactured between December 12, 2022, and January 13, 2023. The installation number on the recalled cans is P4247.

People are being advised to either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.

FSIS said no illness has been linked to the products. People who think they have become ill after consuming the products should contact their doctor.
