One man is dead, one is in custody after a shooting at a west Phoenix apartment

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – A man is dead after a shooting Wednesday evening at an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road in west Phoenix.

Phoenix police say they found the man shot inside a car when they arrived at the complex. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Officers say they arrested a man in the parking lot of the apartment they say was involved in the shooting.

Detectives are investigating what led to the incident. The victim’s name has not been released.
