CAMILLA, Ga. (WALB) – Camilla city officials received more than $900,000 in grants Tuesday to go toward community projects.
The grant, totaling $909,042, was provided through the Community Development Block Grant, or CDBG, program.
The purpose of the program is to provide funding for various development areas, such as neighborhood revitalization, economic development and improvement of city amenities/services.
Camilla Mayor and Stroud City Manager Kevin Owens received the grant check in Albany.
