CASCO, Maine (WABI) – The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating a shooting in Casco.
They say they received a call after midnight on Sunday, reporting that a large crowd had gathered and that fighting had broken out on Wings Road.
Multiple witnesses reported that someone had a firearm and several people were shot.
Officials say one person suffered a single non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Another person suffered a minor hand injury.
Both adults were evaluated and released at the scene.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says they have a person of interest, and are following leads.
The investigation is ongoing. No other information is being released at this time.
Meadow Road in the Plains Road area was closed for a long time but is now open.
