Investing.com – Japanese stocks fell after the close on Monday, as losses in Japan and sectors drove stocks lower.

At the close in Tokyo, it lost 1.16%.

It was the best performance of the session on Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (TYO :), which rose 6.61% or 145.00 points and traded at 2,340.00 at the close. while, Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd. (TYO 🙂 added 4.48% or 58.00 pips to close at 1,354.00 and Mitsui OSK Lines, Ltd. (TYO 🙂 It rose 3.76% or 107.00 points and closed at 2,954.00 at the end of the trade.

The worst performance in the session was Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd. (TYO :), which fell by 3.29% or 145.00 points, and its price was 4,257.00 at the close. Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (TYO 🙂 down 3.26% or 108.00 points to close at 3,200.00 and Itochu Corporation. (TYO 🙂 It fell 3.20% or 125.00 points to 3779.00.

Declining shares outnumbered advancers on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2,302 to 1,214, and closed 259 unchanged.

Shares in Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd. rose. (TYO 🙂 to its highest level in 3 years; Gain 4.48% or 58.00 to 1,354.00.

Crude oil for December delivery rose 0.87%, or 0.74, to $85.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent oil for December delivery rose 0.93%, or 0.85, to $92.48 a barrel, while gold futures for December rose 0.62%, or 10.20, to trade at $1659.10 an ounce.

USD/JPY fell 0.07% to 148.63, while EUR/JPY rose 0.18% to 144.82.

US dollar index futures fell 0.28% to 112.88.
