Investment — Costco on Thursday reported fourth-quarter results that outpaced both profits and losses, led by growth in its core domestic markets.
Costco Wholesale Corp (NASDAQ:) was nearly 3% lower in aftermarket hours.
Costco’s fourth-quarter fiscal earnings were $4.20 per share on revenue of $72.09 billion, compared to estimates of $4.15 and revenue of $71.64 billion.
Comparative sales in the third quarter rose 13.7%. The bulk of sales were generated in the US and Canada, which both rose 15.8% and 13.4%, respectively, while international sales were up 2.9% in the first quarter.
E-commerce sales rose 7.1% in the first quarter.
