215 Ukrainian soldiers were released from Russian families, including 124 officers. Ukraine managed to return 108 fighters from the “Azov” regiment and other formations of the Ukrainian National Guard. Three defenders who were captured during pregnancy were also released. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said: β€œWe are bringing our people home. This is definitely a victory for our state and our whole society. And most importantly, for 215 families who will be able to see their loved ones in safety.

Zelensky added that the POWs were exchanged with pro-Russian opposition leader Viktor Medvedchuk, β€œas a sign of gratitude for helping our country,” Zelensky added, β€œUkraine was liberated from Russian captivity. Five citizens of Great Britain, two citizens of the United States, and two citizens of Morocco, Sweden and Croatia.”

Russian forces attacked Zaporizhia with 9 S-300 missiles. Rockets fired by the Russian army hit a hotel, a restaurant in the city’s central park, a television tower, and a power substation. β€œFor some time we had to turn off the backup generator, including the regional hospital,” this is currently resolved. The infrastructure has yet to be restored.”

During the attack, a 65-year-old man died, and five other citizens were wounded by shrapnel. More than 20 high-rise buildings and their vicinity were damaged, as well as civilian and critical infrastructure buildings.

In the Kobyansk region removed from occupation, in the Kharkiv region, law enforcement officers discovered aerial bombs dropped by Russian troops on residential buildings. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, appears on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. During Kuleba’s interview, he and Colbert discussed the referendums that Russia plans to hold in the occupied territories of Ukraine, nuclear weapons and the recent successful counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army in the Kharkiv region.

Commenting on the counterattack, Kuleba said: “It proves not only to us, but to the whole world that we know how to win and we will win.” His statement was met with thunderous applause from the audience of the program, and Kuleba dedicated his appearance on the show to the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Kuleba said: β€œ(Russian President Vladimir Putin) can arrange phony referendums, and he can call it part of the moon. This is our land. This is our people. We will take back every square meter of our land and we will liberate the people.”
