The ECB may have to raise rates by 75 basis points in October -Kazimir

Sept 28 (Reuters) – The European Central Bank may have to raise interest rates by another 75 basis points next month as inflation remains unacceptably high, the central bank chief said at a news conference on Wednesday. Slovak, Peter Kazimir.

The ECB has already raised rates by a total of 125 basis points in its last two meetings, the fastest pace of tightening on record, and has promised further rate hikes at least to the “neutral” level, which neither slows nor stimulates growth.
