Stock indices in India fell at the end of today’s session;  Nifty 50 down 0.87%

Investing.com – Indian stocks fell after the close on Wednesday, as sector and sector losses pushed stocks lower.

At the close in the NSE, the index lost 0.87% to hit a new one-month low, while the index fell 0.89%.

It was the best performance of the session on Asian paints (NS:), which gained 2.88% or 100.00 points and had a price of 3,570.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (NS: 2.31% or 20.70 points) rose to close at 917.85, while Dr.

The worst performance in the session was Hindalco Industries (NS :), which fell at 3.44% or 12.85 points, and its price was 360.75 at the close. GSW Steel Ltd (NS 🙂 fell 3.22% or 20.50 points to close at 616.50 and International Trade Center Ltd (NS: down 2.96%, or 9.90 points, at 324.95.

The best performer was Asian Paints Ltd (BO 🙂 which rose 2.90% to 3571.20, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (BO 🙂 which rose 2.21% to settle at 916.70 and Dr. 🙂 which rose by 2.03% to close at 4,267.20.

The worst performers were ITC Ltd (BO 🙂 which fell 2.97% to 324.90 in late trading, AXIS Bank Ltd (BO 🙂 which lost 2.84% to settle at 716.35 and Reliance Industries Ltd (BO 🙂 which fell by 2.64%. to 2332.10 at close.

Declining shares outnumbered rising stocks on the India National Stock Exchange by 1,209 to 618, while 48 closed unchanged; On the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1989 fell and rose 1293, while 102 ended unchanged.

The Nifty 50, which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, rose 2.45% to 22.09, a new 3-month high.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.12%, or 1.95, to $1,638.15 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.89% or 0.70 to $79.20 a barrel, while Brent oil for December rose 0.86% or 0.73 to trade at $85.60 a barrel.

USD/INR rose 0.15% to 81.83, while EUR/INR rose 0.05% to 78.41.

US Dollar Index futures rose 0.22% to 114.29.
