Stock indices in India fell at the end of today’s session; Nifty 50 down 0.50%

Investing.com – Indian stocks fell after the close on Thursday, as losses in India and sectors dragged stocks lower.

At the close on the NSE Stock Exchange lost 0.50%, while the index fell 0.57%.

Among the top performers of the day, Titan Company Ltd (NS:) stood out, which rose 2.66% or 70.95 points and traded at 2,737.60 at the close. while, Hindustan Unilever (NS ๐Ÿ™‚ added 2.64% or 69.15 points to close at 2,692.75 and Asian paints (NS: up 2.38% or 79.95 points at 3,436.00 at the end of trading.

As for the weakest performance at the end of trading today, the stock of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (NS:) closed down at 3.06% or 6.95 points and traded at 220.10 levels at the close. AXIS Bank Ltd (NS) stock: down 2.15%, or 17.35 points, at 789.20, HDFC Bank Ltd (NS:) down 2.13% or 32.35 points to 1486.00.

The best performers were Titan Company Ltd (BO ๐Ÿ™‚ which rose by 2.73% to 2,737.90, Hindustan Unilever Ltd (BO ๐Ÿ™‚ which rose 2.64% to settle at 2,693.05 and Asian Paints Ltd. It rose 2.51% to close at 3,439.00.

The worst performers were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (BO ๐Ÿ™‚ which fell 2.80% to 220.05 in late trading, HDFC Bank Ltd (BO ๐Ÿ™‚ which lost 2.18% to settle at 1,485.70 and AXIS Bank Ltd. (BO ๐Ÿ™‚ which fell 2.09% to 789.10 at the close.

Advance shares outnumbered decliners on the Indian National Stock Exchange by 968 to 870 and 47 closed unchanged; On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the price of 1745 rose and 1555 fell, while 143 closed unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.03%, or 0.50, to $1,675.20 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude oil for November delivery rose 0.47%, or $0.39 a barrel, while Brent oil for November rose 0.42%, or 0.38, to trade at $90.21 a barrel.

USD/INR rose 1.04% to 80.88, while EUR/INR rose 1.68% to 79.91.

US Dollar Index futures rose 0.28% to 110.66.
