Saturday 24th September Word of the Day

It’s autumn at last. Friday marked the first full day of the new season and now it’s summer in our rearview mirrors. As my friend Ned might say: winter is coming.

As well as Halloween, Thanksgiving – soon, Christmas will be upon us, first in the form of advertisements for holiday sales, then in twinkling lights and green lawns.

I honestly can’t believe September is almost over. I thought August passed quickly, but this is the next level. It’s as if we’ve traveled back in time during this month. Blink and you miss.

So far, the fall season has not only seen a drop in temperatures, but in Wordle challenge levels. The latter half of the summer had some very difficult words, but these first autumnal words were very easy. Today, for example. . . .

Wordle #462 Answer, Hint and Chloe

Warning: Yes, there are spoilers in this post. Keep going and you will be spoiled.

Hint: You can prepare cheese or carrots in this way.

Hint: This word rhymes with one of the Wordle Bot’s favorite starting words.

the answer:

Today I’m showing you my answers compared to the Wordle Bot’s answers. We hooked up, which is very common, despite the constant Wordle Bot Cash of my choices.

I was very impressed when I saw three consecutive green squares on my first guess. I chose wheat Quite at random and I had this moment where I thought I might get an answer to just one guess. Unfortunately, there is no such luck.

According to Wordle Bot, I only had 15 guesses left, but at the time I thought it was a lot less (early success may be deceiving). However, I went with my intuition and guessed Grape Which got me behind and left me only 5 options, although at the time I only considered one option: grate In order to win!

Of course, there were other options like Blessing And so forth, I got really lucky to guess 1 out of 5, but I’ll do it! A little luck goes a long way in this life.
