PARIS (Reuters) – The Asian arm of global crop trading company Louis-Dreyfus said on Monday it had struck a deal with Longriver Farms to acquire Australian grain trader Emerald Grain.
The Agreement is subject to regulatory approvals and usual closing conditions.
Emerald Grain is Australia’s leading grain handling company, with a network of seven grain storage and receiving sites across the states of New South Wales and Victoria, with a combined storage capacity of nearly one million tons, and a grain export terminal at the port. In Melbourne, the LDC said in a statement.
