As reported by TVLine, the film will aim to follow the infamous relationship between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard both in and out of the courtroom. The focus of the article will be on the two-month trial that the duo wrapped up on June 1.

Melissa Marty will portray one of Depp’s attorneys, Camille Vasquez, and the film is said to somewhat show her subsequent rise to fame during and after the trial.
The trial ended in what was described as a landslide victory for Depp, with the ruling that Amber Heard had slandered Depp. Pirates of the Caribbean Star in an editorial in 2018 featured in The Washington Post. Heard appealed the ruling, but the initial ruling stated that she must pay Depp about $10.4 million in damages. Heard also won one of her rulings and is set to receive $2 million in damages from Depp, however he has also appealed the ruling.
