Investing $500 million to build a sustainable logistics factory in Mendoza

Family owned SME Andreu (Felipe Andreu e Hijos SA) has been a BICE customer since 2008; Since then, she has financed six investment projects with the bank.

It employs 170 people and works with companies such as YPF, Bodega Chandón, Cervecería y Malteria Quilmes, Eco de los Andes, Galileo Technologies, Molinos Río de la Plata and Grupo Peñaflor.

In the past 24 months, the company has modernized its fleet of trucks, expanded its workforce by 15%, increased total land area by 25%, and increased its customer portfolio, from 24 in 2019 to 68 in 2022; At the end of the year, it plans to nearly double its sales compared to 2019 and grow 20% by 2023.

“Andrew belongs to a strategic sector that mobilizes all the productive activity of Cuyo; they are investing today which is very satisfying because it indicates not only their growth, but also the economy of the region,” said BICE President Mariano de Miguel.

“Mendoza is the sixth nationally exporting province and companies like Andrew allow local products to reach other countries and generate foreign currency for the country,” the executive stressed.

On his part, Andrew said: “This is the most important investment for us, given the scale of work and the scale of work that will allow us to reach a total of 90,000 square metres. We will have more efficient logistics operations, new jobs and significant energy savings.”
