The latest news on the limited-edition series Departure is an upcoming eight-episode True Crime entry on Hulu signed by ABC called under the bridgewhich tells the story of the 1997 murder of Canadian girl Rina Virk. The drama is based on Rebecca Godfrey’s 2005 book on the case, which examined the case of a 14-year-old who went to join her friends at a party and never came back.
Quinn Shepard, writer and director of Hulu Not okay, is an adaptation of Godfrey’s book and will be executive production. Liz Tigler (Little fires everywhereand Sameer Mehtatell me lies(You will work as models, Geeta Vasant Patel)Dragon House, dead to me) will direct.
Tigelaar and its tagline, Best Day Ever, are currently under a blanket deal at ABC Signature, and are being produced on the Hulu series. Beautiful little things Starring Kathryn Hahn.
