Costco (NASDAQ:) shares fell about 2% after the company’s announced hours, with an EPS of $4.20 better than the consensus estimate of $4.15.
Net sales grew 15.2% year-over-year to $70.76 billion. Meanwhile, total revenue, which includes membership fees, was $72.091 billion, versus the consensus of $71.64 billion.
Comparative sales for the fourth quarter were up 15.8% in the US and 13.7% for the entire company. Adjusting for the impact of gasoline and foreign exchange prices, US companies rose 9.6% and total companies rose 10.4% during the quarter. E-commerce sales increased 7.1% during the quarter.
