Binance โ€“ Ukrainian supermarkets accept cryptocurrencies

It is a big step towards mass democratization that has just been achieved by Binance and the Ukrainian supermarket chain Varus. The latter announces that Ukrainian consumers will be able to pay for their shopping in cryptocurrency, thanks to Binance Pay, which brings its technology to the chain. In total, more than 100 local supermarkets are affected, which is a fairly large number, and correlatively paves the way for the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies by the general public. Above all, it should be noted that this is the first time that a supermarket in Europe has taken such an initiative. Will others succeed him, whether in France or elsewhere?

If we do not yet have the answer to this question โ€“ and although it is unlikely that a similar measure will arrive in France for the moment โ€“ โ€‹โ€‹this is information that is important. This because she exposes millions of Ukrainian consumers to the daily use of cryptocurrencies. And we can imagine that new users, local consumers, will flourish as a result of this decision.

Unlike France and other European countries, it was very likely that cryptocurrencies will continue their breakthrough on Ukrainian territory. This because since February (beginning of the war with Russia), cryptocurrencies have become a major issue in the conflict for various reasons. And for both sides. As a result, measures in favor of the sector are multiplying, so all that was missing for really bring cryptocurrencies into the daily life of Ukrainians!

Binance Pay brings crypto payments to Varus

The new partnership allows Varus to use Binance Pay technology to bring cryptocurrency payments to its customers. In addition, the Ukrainians will be able pay for their groceries, including onlineby this way. A priori, cryptos can be used for any products present in the store. Above all, customers will benefit from instant payments and โ€œfast deliveryโ€ โ€“ for those who pay remotely via the site.

Nine cities are currently affected by the measure. These are the capital kyiv, Dnipro, Kamianske, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Brovary, Nikopol, Vyshhorod and Pavlograd.
