Most of the time, it’s nice to be Adam Levine.
. I mean, think about that you’re the handsome lead singer of a multi-platinum band, a band that always seems to land on a hit song at least once per album. You are also a judge on the singing competition “The Voice”, as well as a casual actor.
Surely, hipsters and dealers will never like your band Maroon 5, and will say that all of your music sounds as if it was written by a computer algorithm to slide seamlessly into playlists. But whatever, right? You can top the scene whenever you want, and Celebrity Networth estimates you’re worth about $160 million.
Life in general seems beautiful, doesn’t it? What can go wrong?
Well, you might find yourself embroiled in a scandal, where many Instagram models claim that you cheated on your wife (and mother of your kids) with them. You’ll deny it, claiming you’re only involved in inappropriate flirting, but once your DM gets leaked, the damage will be done, and you’ll have to watch statements like “I might need to see the booty” and “Your body is that fucking” become embarrassing memes.
Well, maybe it wasn’t such a great moment to be Levin now. So maybe that’s why Maroon 5 announced that it will embark on a Las Vegas residence next year. Not only might Levine be desperate to change the conversation, but who knows, he might just be tired of sleeping on the couch.
When is the Maroon 5 residency?
If you want to separate art from artist, or you’re willing to bypass Levine’s alleged estrangement so you can enjoy “This Love,” “She Will Be Loved,” and “Girls Like You,” well, you’ll have many opportunities next year.
Maroon 5 will perform 16 shows on Dolby Live at Park MGM (MGM) next year, including March 24, 25, 29 and 31; April 1, 5, 7 and 8; 28 and 29 July; and 2, 4, 5, 9, 11 and 12 August.
Jokes aside, Vegas stays, and any really extensive tour, require a lot of advanced planning, and it’s pointless to put that show together to change the conversation. But is MGM’s investment at risk here?
It’s entirely possible that people would be so offended by Levine’s behavior that they wouldn’t buy tickets. But the year is a long time, and many, many segments of the ticket-buying audience don’t pay much attention to online gossip factories. So, we have to see how this is done.

If you want to keep things running smoothly, rock legend Santana recently slammed all the September dates for his Vegas stay, but he still has eight shows between November 2 and 13 slated to premiere at the House of Blues, as this year marks its anniversary. Tenth from the start of his stay in the place.
Adele’s stay at “Weekend with Adele” at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace begins November 18, and will run until February 24, if you need a good cry.

– Finally, in October, there’s When We Young at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, in case you want to relive your MySpace Emo days. It runs October 22, 23, and 29, featuring My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Bright Eyes, Avril Lavigne, Take Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, and more. The festival’s website says it’s all sold out, but fans can still sign up for a waiting list. Will you shed more tears than Adele’s stay? remains to be seen.
